Ann Loubert

Ann Loubert draws and paints with the subject under the eyes, without passing through the photo. Her approach is twofold: the assiduous, daily nomadic practice of drawing, allows her to glean images, moments of life, by quick and instant sketches and offer another temporality. The techniques and materials are chosen for their fluidity - watercolors, clean lines, inks without thickness, which allow to capture a moving, sometimes fleeting, reality.

Ann Loubert, born in 1978, is a Franco-Swiss painter and illustrator. She studied painting at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. Since 2006, she has completed a number of residencies that have nourished her approach: Poznań, Berlin, Beijing, Tainan. Some of her painting is exposed at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the City of Strasbourg, as well as the Museum of Art and History of Neuchâtel.
