Faezeh Afchary - Kord

From her initial diploma, architecture, Faezeh Afchary keeps the sense of rigor. From her country of origin, Iran, she keeps the love of words and that of poetry as luggage.

It is born of this duality a sensitive work.

The artist works with paper porcelain, refining it to the breaking point. Its forms are clean without being rigid. Organic, they retain the imprint of the hand. (...)

Faezeh entrusts the poems of the Persian poets. Under her brush, the full and the thin say the absence.

Explains: Valérie Formery (Curator of the museum Ianchelevicià la Louvière, Belgium.

From her academic study, Faezeh Afchary maintains a sense of rigor.  And from her native Iran, she brings a delicate love of words and poetry.  Borne of this duality is her highly sensitive oeuvre.

The artist works porcelain paper that she refines almost to its breaking point.  Her lines are pure --yet without rigidity.  Bearing the organic touch of her hand. ...Faezeh confides verses of Persian poets.

By a play of assemblage, but also through motifs, texts and poems, these  Faezah’s (sculptures evolve) toward the creation of ever more minimal, pure objects. She discards color, privileges writing, and based on her culture and experience builds universal metaphorical poetic figures.
